Nickie Harte Kelly This is just superb Celtic/World music, both acoustic and electric, with a Vietnamese twist in the many of the vocals, as well as some Middle Eastern nods. The instrumentation is practically a musical instrument dictionary, ranging from various harps, pipes, guitars, duduk, strings, brass, you name it. A plea to recognize that we are all one on this tiny planet. Absolutely transcendent, and one of my favourites of this year. Favorite track: Odisea.

about

Quand S'envolent Les Mots / When the words fly away

And so closes a chapter that will have lasted 22 years since the release of “Strinkadenn'Ys” in 2001.

When words fly away... Instruments teach us a more universal language.
They show us the way.
In the universe, borders do not exist. Music allows us to be united towards the United...

When the words fly away... Make you travel again.
From Brittany to Vietnam, there is only one continent, from sunset to sunrise.
Instruments as different as the bombarde and the guzheng, the duduk and the erhu, the cimbalom and the nyckelharpa meet, exchange, tame each other, communicate, start a dance and go a long way together.

When words fly away... Beyond borders and beyond the horizon line.

When words fly away... The sounds of the Crozon peninsula inspire me, as inspire me the sounds of Asia, Armenia, Moldova and so many others.

When words fly away... and being a citizen of the world, that's my identity.

Seven Reizh is not a group. He, too, is borderless.
It moves, amplifies like a wave without ever wanting to reach the shore.
It is not the destination that matters, but the journey, the path with its new doors that we discover and that we open to the detour of an encounter and our senseless choices, but creative.
The most beautiful path, the most beautiful journey is the one that remains to be done.

When words fly away... to make way for silence...
Couldn't music be the silence that communicates ?

...Thus the words fly away,
so they will come back to us... otherwise.
